The Oldenburger Association from Vechta informed me that it was absolutely possible that a foal from a SA Warmblood mare and a stallion that is registered in the Register of Stallions I with the Oldenburger Association could be recognised as an Oldenburger foal”.
Here it would be a matter of the pedigree and an assessment of the mare. If the mare does not comply with the pedigree requirements, an examination of the mare would have to be done to establish in which section of the breeding book the mare can be entered.
The examination of the mare will be done on my farm in Pretoria by a representative from the Oldenburger Association.
With a SA Warmblood mare and an Oldenburger stallion, registration as SA Warmblood is always certain.
It is thus suggested that when ordering semen, a copy of the pedigree of the mare be sent to me by e-mail.
